CLIMATE: Characterised by wet currents from the south of the Atlantic Ocean, precipation levels are among the lowest in this area, between 650 and 720 mm per year, with maximum seasonal rains in the spring and in late autumn and the minimum during the months of July and August.
DATES OF THE HARVEST: from the October 12 - 27, 1997.
AVERAGE GRAPE YIELD PER HECTARE: 70 Quintals.
WINEMAKING: After removing the stems and stalks, fermentation with a submerged maceration is performed for approximately 20 days, with daily culling and mixing during the first week. Then decanting and further maturation are carried out in aok casks for 12 months.
